		Shakir Khan sitar Shakir Khan belongs to the most prominent line (family) of sitarplayers in India. He is the son of the famous Ustad Shahid Parvez (one of the leading sitarmasters of India today) and is the 8th generation of sitarplayers in his family. Studying under his fathers guidance since he was four years old he has already achieved an extraordinary mastery on Indian classical music. His high understanding of Indian music makes it easy for him to express himself in any other music from, such as jazz.

TAAL YATRA - A JOURNEY INTO INDIAN RHYTHM

Taal Yatra is an innovative Indian classical ensemble lead by the great tabla maestro and music teacher Pandit Suresh Talwalkar. This ensemble presents traditional and P.S.Ts Indian classical compositions and symbolises the perfect synergie of several streams of Indian music: Dance, Vocal, Instrumental and Tabla solo music.
This unique musical blending has great response from connoisseurs (performing at RhythmFestivals ), as well as general audience. Performing Indian classical music
in its pure form, this ensemble has a very modern and fresh approach. By integrating the sounds of drumset and keyboards.
